Life can be very stressful and often causes us to feel tired, depleted and out of balance on many levels. Individual sessions are a powerful way to help you relax, release and restore so you can move beyond the imbalances and limitations that often result in illness or ongoing difficulties in life.
The techniques Laurie uses help to identify and clear the root cause behind your health issues, stressors and imbalances, so you can feel like yourself again. She also teaches simple techniques to help you stay in better balance as you learn to move beyond the things that cause limitations and imbalances in your life. Sessions can help support your overall health and wellness goals whether they are related to a specific illness, addiction or stressful life event, such as a the death of a loved one, a divorce or the loss of a job. They can also support your wellness and prevention goals.
All sessions are individualized based on the concerns you want to address and the focus you choose.
Sessions vary in length and are usually about an hour long. The number of sessions required is individualized depending on your goals and the outcome of the previous session. In general, it takes 3 - 4 sessions to restore overall balance, with the number of additional sessions needed varying, based on the conditions being addressed. For example, long-standing chronic illnesses, addictions and other major imbalances generally require more sessions than wellness/prevention goals and short-lived or new stressors.

Nature Therapy
At Woodsedge we have developed a partnership with Nature. Everything we do here is meant to harness the regenerative and restorative elements of the natural world. We are situated on 65 acres of restored prairie and visitors to our Center report feeling better simply by spending time on the land.
Our work is based on the extensive body of research that shows that spending time in nature has a positive effect on our physical health. Study after study shows that spending time in nature lowers blood pressure, stabilizes heart rate, and decreases the production of stress hormones. Attention Deficit Disorder and aggression lessen in natural environments, which also helps speed up the rate of healing. In a recent study, researchers found that being in nature reduced feelings of isolation, promoted calm, and lifted mood among patients. (Learn more 3)

Remote / Distance / Virtual Sessions
At Woodsedge, you don’t need to be on site to receive the benefits of what we offer. Remote sessions can be scheduled to occur anywhere that you happen to be, and they contain the same individualized elements as an on-site visit. They can be scheduled to happen by phone or over internet, so it’s not necessary to travel to our physical location to benefit from our services.
